Mrs. Pearl L. Stewart, 79 of 602 Wilson Avenue died Friday afternoon in Westbrook Nursing Home where she had been a patient the last two weeks. A daughter of Yancey and Nancy Ellen Lamb, she was born August 21, 1886 at Jamestown. She married Jess C. Stewart in 1908. He preceded her in death in 1946. Mrs. Stewart had been a resident of Crawfordsville since 1943 and prior to that of the Mace community.. She was a member of the Fremont Baptist Church. Survivors include two daughters, Mrs. Olive Long of Waveland and Mrs. Grace Biggs of Elkhart; two sons, Wallace of east of Waynetown; and Wilbert of Russellville and four grandchildren and three great grandchildren. A son, Walter, died while serving with the Army in Korea in 1960. Funeral services are announced for 2 p.m. Monday at Hunt & Son Funeral Home, where friends may call after 7 p.m. Saturday. Burial will be in Jamestown IOOF Cemetery -- kbz
